Beach seine net – light design
- convenient for fishing small amounts of fish
- net is not strengthened with one or two rows of larger mesh on perimeter
- one-depth and two-depths designs are available
- length usually up to 50 m and height up to 4 m
- spacing distance between floats 60 – 100 cm
- lead line weights 80 – 200 g/m
- usual ending: free ends, light brace, slings, light pole inserted into slings
- heavy brace with heavy pole is only suitable for short beach seine nets
Beach seine net – heavy design
- convenient for fishing large amounts of fish
- net is strengthened with one or two rows of larger mesh on perimeter
- one-, two- and three-depth designs are available
- length range 10 – 300 m, net height more than 4 m
- spacing distance between floats 60 – 80 cm
- thirds and center of the net is marked with colored floats
- lead line 160 – 260 g/m
- usual ending light brace without pole
- heavy brace with pole is not suitable for long ad high beach seine nets
