Circular dragnet – designed for circular storage pools
Fishing effectively, quickly and carefully
The circular dragnet is a great tool for farming rainbow trout and other salmonid species in round storage tanks.
Usage
- comfortable fishing from round storage tanks by one or two persons

Composition
- polyamide knotless net
- mesh size 10, 15, 20, 25 mm
- thread thickness 0.5 – 1.4 mm (210/18 – 210/27)

- the strip of the net is reinforced with rope
- steel rings are attached to sides and lower line
- colored drawstring is threaded through rings
Correctly chosen net size is the key to successful fishing!!!
net size:
net height = storage height (h) + radius (r)
net length = storage perimeter (p) + 1 m
Instructions for using a circular dragnet
- fold the net into a vat or handcart (wheelbarrow)
- fold lower line with rings and colored drawstring on one side
- fold upper line on the opposite side
- tie upper line and the end of the colored drawstring to a fixed place on the round tank
- the net is cast – spread out around the tank perimeter
- pay attention that no fish are caught between the net and sides of the tank
- cast rings with colored drawstring into water, lower them along the sides of the tank to the bottom
- pay attention to ensure that the threaded drawstring does not tangle
- attach upper line to the tank edge/ put it over the tank edge
- after casting the net, both ends should be touching
- tie up both ends so upper line does not slip from the tank edge
- after casting the net, lure fish into central part of the tank by food
- when fish start feeding, quickly pull the drawstring, which is threaded through rings attached to lead line and to the net sides
Drawstring is fixed to the middle ring
- pull both drawstring ends evenly so the net is evenly hauled
- haul ends when all rings are lifted above the edge of the tank
- 90 % of fish stock is usually caught
- It is possible to transport fish with fish pump, hand net or dip net
